St Michael and All Angels is the Steeple church, a 5 minute walk from the event site.  It’s where my wife and I were married when we lived on Steeple Leaze farm, our three children were christened there and we attend family service and enjoy the company of the 20 or so regular church goers.  My wife is also the PCC secretary. We have always made every effort to support the events to raise the money to keep the church going as all costs rise each year.  The Purbeck folk festival has been fully backed by the PCC as it gives an opportunity to hold an annual event that sits well within the beautiful countryside, yet yields a much needed boost of cash for the church. - Phil Watkins, Purbeck Folk Festival.
